NIght Owl Recording was there to capture the 2017 Tejano Conjunto Festival in San Antonio, Texas. There were twenty-seven artists this year including Lazaro Perez, Conjunto Los Borregos, Tony Tigre y la Rosa de Oro, Boni Mauricio y los Maximos, and, of course, Flaco Jiminez.
The event was multi-tracked using a Presonus Studiolive 24 AI console straight into Pro Tools 12 (primary) with a JoeCo Blackbox recording running alongside as backup. True Systems Precision 8 preamps were used on hi-hat, overheads, bass, bajo sexto, and audience ambience.  |   |
