At the Promiseland Recording Studios in Austin, Texas, Allen co-engineered, alongside Gold/Platinum recording engineer Mike Hersh, nearly 100 multi-track live recordings of the Awakening, a live praise and worship music television program airing in millions of homes on digital cable television networks like TBN and Daystarr.  Featured Awakening artists included Denver and the Mile High Orchestra, Russ Taft, the Katinas, Israel Houghton, the Crabb Family, Becky Fender, and many, many more.  Also at the Promiseland Studios, Allen had the privileage of recording and mixing Alabanza Real, a live, Latin praise and worship music program televised on TBN, Enlace, FETV, and in several parts of South America.

As a member of the now defunct Star System radio network and KVET FM in Austin, Texas Allen was fortunate to able to record some of country music's biggest stars, including Willie Nelson, Dwight Yoakum, Larry Gatlin, Jerry Jeff Walker, Pat Green, Gary P. Nunn, The Derailers, and many others.
